Cardinal Virginian’s Latest News – May, 2022

Greetings Fellow Cardinal Virginians (CV),
As we enter the 5th month of 2022, spring is in full bloom, and seems like almost everything is “on sale” or on “special” at our friendly local stores, whether they be small businesses or large, nation-chain/big box stores. With so many options and so much competition from which to choose, how do you decide where to invest you hard-earned money and time? Well, I certainly don’t have the definitive answer to that question, but I do have a timely suggestion for your consideration: join us at our next Rally! It’s money well spent and time away invested in YOUR well-being, relaxing, in YOUR RV, with YOUR friendly fellow CVers. Try it, you might like it!
May is a busy month for our school-age as well as our college-age children and grandchildren. We celebrate their accomplishments and watch as they attend proms and graduations, receiving diplomas and/or degrees as their rewards. These important activities make for life-long memories as good-byes and farewells are exchanged along with “best wishes” for the next chapters in young lives, whether those be for employment, travel, or further educational pursuits in the Fall or after a break to decide on their next course-of-action. Having come this far, most are thankful for the loved ones who supported and encouraged them. Many of you reading this have been in such a role over the years (or owe so much to those who did it for you), and that’s why we take time this month to honor both our Mothers and those who gave it all in the defense of freedom. Thus this this month’s calendar yields:
– Mother’s Day (May 8th): Honoring those who are still living and those who have gone on to be with the Lord
– Memorial Day (May 30th): Honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally it was know as Decoration Day; unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season
In April we kicked off our CV Chapter Rally season, and it started on a high note, as you will read in the linked Newsletter. Our 2nd Rally is just around the corner, and it’s not too late to reserve your spot, so I invite you to come have some fun with us, if not in May, then as soon as your schedule will permit. Our hard-working CV team hopes we will “see ya down the road.”
Cheryl and I sincerely wish each of you a blessed, peaceful, and forward-looking May 2022. 😊  Be sure to click the Newsletter Link above.   For more information about our chapter, please visit our Website www.cardinalvirginians.com
